The Neon system brings together the technology of field instrumentation with that of the world wide web. Neon advances the capabilities of remote data logging by combining a data logger with an internet enabled modem allowing data to be available to view on line at any time, without the need to leave your office. The Neon terminals or modules are compatible with a wide range of signal inputs, including analogue, digital, counter, 4-20mA and SDI-12 making it ideal for remote Weather Stations, flow monitoring, utility metering, agricultural monitoring and just about any data monitoring application there is.
The Neon data logger stores up to 15,000 readings internally. At user defined intervals, usually daily, data is sent to the secure server where it is stored in a continuous database for that site. This data can be viewed at any time by the authorised user either graphically or in table format, it can also be configured to send the data directly to your inbox. Data is sent using the widely available, low cost GPRS network or in the most remote of settings via satellite link.
The server software is fully user friendly allowing the administrator to select upload time, data transmission frequency, automated reporting and even SMS alarms. Other users can be setup with read – only access to the data so that they can view any channel over any time period but can’t change anything. This way many colleagues can see your results without risking the data integrity. |
